REST Resource: projects.videoThumbnails

  • VideoThumbnail resource represents information about a video thumbnail, including its name, expression, video options, file format, and grid.

  • It uses an expression that must evaluate to an ImageCollection to compute the video thumbnail.

  • Currently, only GIF format is supported for generating the video thumbnail.

  • You can create an ID to render the video thumbnail animation using the create method and compute the resulting image using the getPixels method.

name

string

The resource name representing the video thumbnail, of the form "projects/*/videoThumbnails/**" (e.g. "projects/earthengine-legacy/videoThumbnails/").
expression

object (Expression)

The expression to compute. Must evaluate to an ImageCollection.
videoOptions

object (VideoOptions)

Options for the animation.
fileFormat

enum (VideoFileFormat)

The output encoding in which to generate the resulting video thumbnail. Currently only GIF is supported.
grid

object (PixelGrid)

An optional pixel grid describing how the images computed by expression are reprojected and clipped.

create

 Creates an ID that can be used to render an image containing an animation of multiple images from a collection.

getPixels

 Computes an image showing the result of a computation.
