It's that time of the year again! Let's talk about the Search Central Live (SCL) schedule for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. We have mapped out a series of events designed to connect you with our Search teams and fellow community members. Here is everything you need to know about our plans for the year, at least for the APAC region.
Search Central Live Sydney 2026: Call for Speakers and Attendees
We are kicking things off down under! On May 22, 2026, we will be hosting Search Central Live in Sydney. Keep in mind that this event is tailored specifically for the Australia and New Zealand communities, rather than being a broader regional gathering.
Registration for participants is officially open, but that's not all: we are also actively looking for lightning talk speakers! If you have an exciting SEO case study, a unique technical implementation, or a short topic you want to share with the local community, we want to hear from you. And if you're wondering what a lightning talk is, it's a 7-minute presentation on the topic of your choice. Why 7? We like 7. In any case, if you will be around Sydney on May 22 and are interested in taking the stage, be sure to propose your lightning talk topic(s) by April 19 on the registration form. For participants, apply on the same form by May 4.

Search Central Live Shanghai 2026
Shortly before our Sydney event, we are planning to host an exclusive event strictly for our Mandarin-Chinese-speaking audience, currently targeting May 15, 2026. We are still finalizing the exact date and venue, but registration will be opening soon. Keep an eye out for updates so you can secure your spot!

What's Next for India and Other Locations?
If you are based in India, we have a special message for you: please sit tight! We are currently deep into planning for an SCL India event, potentially two, which will likely take place in Q4 of 2026. We highly recommend waiting for these local events rather than applying for our other SCL events. We promise it will be worth the wait!
And for the rest of APAC, don't be sad! We are rotating the locations yearly and next year we might be coming to you!
An Update on the Deep Dive Format
You know how we start blog posts with "an update on..." when we want to announce something not-so-positive? Well, this isn't one of those cases.
Last year, we piloted the extended, multi-day "Deep Dive" format in the APAC region at Search Central Live Deep Dive Bangkok 2025, and we know you love it! Because of this tremendous reception, we are thinking about rotating the Deep Dive experience to the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region this year. While we won't be hosting a Deep Dive in APAC for 2026, we are excited to potentially bring this immersive format to a brand-new audience. If you have attended the Deep Dive APAC 2025, the content is going to be largely the same (not that much changed in Search after all), so it's unlikely you're going to miss out.
