But as with any events, virtual, or in-person, a lot\nof information was covered over the three-day event. In case you missed it, here is a list of some\nSearch-related news and announcements that might be of interest to you.\n\n\nThe [keynote](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFFrahd05OM) covered how\nGoogle aims to be helpful in moments that matter. Sundar announced a\n[new product\ndevelopment milestone called Multitask Unified Models (MUM)](https://www.blog.google/products/search/introducing-MUM), which builds on open, existing AI\narchitectures to solve complex info challenges. MUM is able to cross-train across many languages\nand tasks to better understand information. Advances in this area will help us better understand\nqueries as well as pages on the web. These changes are not live yet, and you don't need to make\nany updates on your website for this. Other Search features that are next on the horizon include\n[Google Lens](https://lens.google/), [AR in Search](https://arvr.google.com/ar/),\nand [About this Result](https://blog.google/products/search/about-search-results/).\n\n\nFor SEOs and developers, a good place to start is our [What's\nnew in Search](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRmDxNBhzow) video. In this talk, you'll hear about two new schema markups available for\nvideo content. [`Clip` markup](/search/docs/appearance/structured-data/video#clip) is now available to\nany site with videos, and [`SeekToAction`\nmarkup](/search/docs/appearance/structured-data/video#seek) is in beta. These markups can enable Google to display [key\nmoments](/search/docs/appearance/video#key-moments) for your videos in Search. \n\n\nTo help developers prepare for the [upcoming ranking change](/search/blog/2021/04/more-details-page-experience), we hosted a [Page Experience technical session](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h00kn5J-F2Q), including an [announcement](https://searchengineland.com/google-page-experience-update-will-come-to-desktop-pages-348723) for how we're using page experience for desktop Google Search results.\n\n\nDuring one of the meetups, Google announced [Follow\non Chrome Canary in the US](https://blog.chromium.org/2021/05/an-experiment-in-helping-users-and-web.html). Follow is an experimental feature designed to allow people to\nfollow the websites they care about, from large publishers to small neighborhood blogs, by tapping\na Follow button in Chrome. This meetup covered audience engagement and following publisher\nwebsites across the web. There was a discussion about the feature Google has been developing in\nthis space with the web publisher and developer community.\n\n\nWe also hosted several sessions about Core Web Vitals:\n\n- [What's new in Web\n Vitals](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XxvHY4wC8Co)\n- [Business impact of Core\n Web Vitals](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nPmAE0YjGK0)\n- [Ask Me Anything session](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HWm6WNkHs90)\n\n\nTo learn more about how to create more modern content on the web, check out\n[Immersive storytelling on\nthe web](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eNTPwBZXqW0).\n\n\nAlthough virtual, there were opportunities to mingle with other SEOs during the event. There was\na Search area in the Web dome on I/O Adventure. In addition, we also hosted Technical SEO show\nand tells and meetups, and it was nice to see people from all over the world attend these networking\nand Q\\&A sessions hosted by Martin Splitt.\n\n\nPosted by [Terry Ednacot](https://twitter.com/terryednacot),\nSearch Relations Program Manager"]]
