De manière générale, cette amélioration a été bien accueillie par les utilisateurs devant valider des propriétés de domaine. Ils rapportent principalement qu'avant de migrer vers les propriétés de domaine, ils sous-estimaient leur trafic et que la nouvelle méthode les a aidés à mieux interpréter les données globales sur les clics et impressions. Lorsque nous demandons leur avis aux utilisateurs des propriétés de domaine, presque tous semblent satisfaits de cette fonctionnalité. La plupart d'entre eux indiquent également qu'ils la trouvent plus utile que les propriétés de préfixe d'URL traditionnelles.
Toutefois, la modification d'un enregistrement DNS n'est pas toujours simple, en particulier pour les petites et moyennes entreprises.
La raison principale qui dissuaderait certains propriétaires de site de passer aux propriétés de domaine est la difficulté qu'ils rencontrent pour valider leur domaine. Pour pallier ce problème, nous avons collaboré avec divers services d'enregistrement de noms de domaine afin d'automatiser une partie du processus de validation. L'objectif est de vous accompagner tout au long des étapes nécessaires pour mettre à jour la configuration du bureau d'enregistrement, afin que l'enregistrement DNS inclue le jeton de validation que nous fournissons. Cette amélioration facilite grandement le processus de validation.
Fonctionnement de la validation DNS automatique
Pour valider un domaine à l'aide du nouveau processus, cliquez sur "Ajouter une propriété" dans le sélecteur de propriétés (liste déroulante située en haut de la barre latérale de la Search Console). Sélectionnez ensuite l'option "Domaine". Le système vous guidera à travers une série d'étapes, dont l'une consistera à vous diriger vers le site du bureau d'enregistrement pour y appliquer des modifications.
