Bereits im Februar haben wir die Einführung von domainübergreifenden Daten in der Search Console angekündigt. Damit können Websiteinhaber einen umfassenden Überblick über ihre Website und Daten erhalten, ohne zwischen verschiedenen Properties wechseln zu müssen.
Es gab daraufhin viele positive Rückmeldungen von Nutzern, die Domain-Properties bestätigt haben. Viele von ihnen haben uns mitgeteilt, dass sie vor dem Wechsel zu Domain-Properties ihren Traffic unterschätzt hätten. Die neue Methode habe ihnen geholfen, die aggregierten Daten zu Klicks und Impressionen besser zu verstehen. Als wir Nutzer nach ihrer Zufriedenheit mit dieser Funktion gefragt haben, schienen fast alle damit zufrieden zu sein. Darüber hinaus haben die meisten angegeben, dass sie Domain-Properties nützlicher fänden als die herkömmlichen URL-Präfix-Properties.
Es ist jedoch nicht immer einfach, einen DNS-Eintrag zu ändern, insbesondere für kleine und mittlere Unternehmen.
Wir haben gehört, dass die größte Herausforderung für Websiteinhaber in Hinblick auf den Wechsel zu Domain-Properties darin besteht, ihre Domain zu bestätigen. Aus diesem Grund haben wir mit verschiedenen Domainnamenregistratoren zusammengearbeitet, um einen Teil des Vorgangs zu automatisieren. Der Prozess führt euch durch die erforderlichen Schritte zum Aktualisieren eurer Registratorkonfiguration, sodass euer DNS-Eintrag das von uns bereitgestellte Bestätigungstoken erhält. Dies erleichtert die Bestätigung erheblich.
Automatische DNS-Bestätigung verwenden
Wenn ihr eure Domain mit dem neuen Prozess bestätigen möchtet, klickt in der Auswahlliste für Properties auf „Property hinzufügen“. Ihr findet diese Option im Drop-down-Menü über der Seitenleiste der Search Console. Wählt dann die Option „Domain“ aus. Das System führt euch durch eine Reihe von Schritten. Unter anderem müsst ihr die Registratorwebsite aufrufen, um die Änderungen zu übernehmen – es sind weniger und einfachere Schritte erforderlich als zuvor.
