Oggi il team di Google Chrome ha annunciato una modifica imminente delle metriche di Core Web Vitals per valutare meglio la qualità dell'esperienza utente su una pagina web. In questo articolo esploreremo questo cambiamento e il suo significato per la Ricerca Google e i proprietari di siti.
Una metrica migliore per l'adattabilità
Una delle metriche di Core Web Vitals, FID (First Input Delay), misura l'adattabilità, ma ci sono delle limitazioni note. Questo ha portato il team di Chrome a esplorare e chiedere feedback su una metrica allora sperimentale che consenta di affrontare queste limitazioni in modo più efficace.

Dopo un altro anno di test e raccolta di feedback della community, il team di Chrome ha deciso di promuovere INP come nuova metrica di Core Web Vitals per l'adattabilità, che sostituirà FID a partire da marzo 2024. Conseguenze per Google Search Console
A marzo 2024, la nuova metrica INP sostituirà FID in Core Web Vitals.
Per aiutare i proprietari di siti e gli sviluppatori a intraprendere i passaggi necessari e valutare le proprie pagine alla luce della nuova metrica, nei prossimi mesi Search Console includerà INP nel report Core Web Vitals.
Quando INP sostituirà FID a marzo 2024, nel report di Search Console non verranno più mostrate le metriche FID, mentre INP sarà usata come nuova metrica per l'adattabilità.
Conseguenze per i proprietari di siti

Tuttavia, per un'esperienza sulle pagine eccellente queste metriche non sono sufficienti; delle statistiche positive nel report Core Web Vitals in Search Console o nei report Core Web Vitals di terze parti non garantiscono un buon ranking.
