Utiliza el parámetro de configuración de segmentación en tus grupos de anuncios o campañas para especificar si deseas que tus anuncios se muestren solo a segmentos de público específicos o en el contenido específico que seleccionaste.

Cómo establecer el parámetro de configuración de segmentación

Para configurar los detalles sobre cómo se usan los distintos tipos de criterios para la segmentación establece el TargetingSetting campo con un array de target_restrictions. Cada TargetRestriction te permite controlar si un tipo de criterio usa la bid_only opción o no.

Cuando estableces bid_only en true, el parámetro de configuración de segmentación se establece en "Observación", y los criterios no se usan para restringir el tráfico, pero te permiten establecer ofertas diferentes para los distintos usuarios de tus listas. Si estableces bid_only en false, el parámetro de configuración de segmentación se establece en "Segmentación" y habilita los criterios para restringir el tráfico del grupo de anuncios solo a los usuarios de la lista segmentada.

Las principales diferencias se resumen en la siguiente tabla:

Situaciones prácticas

A continuación, se incluyen ejemplos breves de cuándo usar el modo Observación en comparación con el modo Segmentación:

Observación
Si publicas una campaña de Búsqueda y deseas saber qué tan bien convierte un público en particular (por ejemplo, "fanáticos de los deportes") en comparación con el público en general, sin restringir tus anuncios solo a ese público. Puedes agregar "fanáticos de los deportes" como un criterio de público con bid_only = true (Observación) y aplicar un ajuste de la oferta del 10%. Esto te permite recopilar datos de rendimiento para ese público y establecer ofertas más competitivas para ellos si tienen un buen rendimiento, sin perder tráfico de usuarios que no pertenecen a ese público.
Segmentación
Si publicas una campaña de Display para hacer remarketing a los usuarios que visitaron tu sitio web anteriormente, pero no realizaron una conversión. Solo deseas que los usuarios de tu lista de usuarios "Usuarios que abandonaron el carrito" vean estos anuncios específicos. En este caso, agrega la lista "Usuarios que abandonaron el carrito" como un criterio UserList con bid_only = false (Segmentación). Esto garantiza que el presupuesto de tu grupo de anuncios se invierta solo en llegar a este segmento de público con un alto nivel de intención.

Prácticas recomendadas

De forma predeterminada, bid_only se establece en false, lo que significa que el parámetro de configuración de segmentación se establecerá en "Segmentación". Si agregas segmentos de público a una campaña de Búsqueda o de Shopping, considera cambiar el parámetro de configuración de segmentación de bid_only a true para establecerlo en "Observación".

Si configuras un duplicado de campaña para segmentos de público para anuncios de búsqueda, mantén la segmentación de bid_only establecida en false.

Restricciones

No puedes agregar ni actualizar targeting_setting en un AdGroup si targeting_setting está establecido en la campaña superior. Si targeting_setting está establecido en la Campaign superior, primero debes quitar targeting_setting en la Campaign superior. Del mismo modo, primero debes quitar targeting_setting en el AdGroup para establecerlo en la Campaign.

Cómo recuperar el parámetro de configuración de segmentación

Para verificar que la segmentación esté configurada como deseas, revisa el targeting_setting en los grupos de anuncios o las campañas solicitando el ad_group.targeting_setting.target_restrictions campo del recurso ad_group en una consulta de búsqueda.

Ejemplo

En este ejemplo, se actualiza targeting_setting en un grupo de anuncios para que bid_only sea true para las instancias de TargetRestriction con un targeting_dimension de AUDIENCE, lo que te permite establecer ofertas específicas para los usuarios del segmento de público sin restringir el alcance.
