Reporting performance data is an integral part of Google Ads API applications. With the flexible reporting options in the API, you can obtain performance data for all queryable resources, ranging from an entire campaign to the specific keywords that triggered your ad.
To retrieve reporting data in the Google Ads API, you construct a query using the
Google Ads Query Language (GAQL) that specifies the
target resource in the FROM clause and the selected attributes, segments, and
metrics in the SELECT clause. You then submit the query to either
GoogleAdsService.SearchStream (to stream the entire dataset
over a single connection) or GoogleAdsService.Search (to page
through results). For a complete list of queryable resources, fields, and
metrics, see the Reports reference documentation.
