É possível configurar detalhes sobre como os vários tipos de critérios são usados para segmentação
definindo o campo TargetingSetting com
uma matriz de
target_restrictions.
Cada TargetRestriction permite controlar
se um tipo de critério usa a opção
bid_only ou não.
Ao definir bid_only como true, a configuração de segmentação será definida como "Observação", e os critérios não serão usados para restringir o tráfego, mas permitirão que você faça lances diferentes para usuários diferentes nas suas listas. Definir bid_only como false define a configuração de segmentação como "Segmentação" e permite que os critérios restrinjam o tráfego do grupo de anúncios apenas aos usuários na lista segmentada.

Confira exemplos curtos de quando usar o modo de observação em vez do modo de segmentação:
- Observação
- Se você veicular uma campanha de pesquisa e quiser saber o desempenho de um público-alvo específico (por exemplo, "fãs de esportes") em comparação com o público em geral, sem restringir seus anúncios apenas a esse público. Você pode adicionar "fãs de esportes" como um critério de público-alvo com
bid_only = true(Observação) e aplicar um ajuste de lance de +10%. Isso permite coletar dados de performance desse público-alvo e fazer lances mais competitivos para ele se tiver um bom desempenho, sem perder tráfego de usuários fora desse público. - Segmentação
- Se você veicular uma campanha de display para fazer o remarketing para usuários que já visitaram seu site, mas não fizeram uma conversão. Você só quer que os usuários na sua lista de "pessoas que abandonaram o carrinho" vejam esses anúncios específicos. Nesse caso, adicione a lista "pessoas que abandonaram o carrinho" como um critério
UserListcombid_only = false(Segmentação). Isso garante que o orçamento do grupo de anúncios seja gasto apenas para alcançar esse segmento de público-alvo de alta intenção.
Práticas recomendadas
Por padrão, bid_only é definido como false, o que significa que a configuração de segmentação será definida como "Segmentação". Se uma restrição de segmentação para uma dimensão de segmentação específica (como AUDIENCE) for omitida ou não estiver presente na matriz target_restrictions de um TargetingSetting, o sistema adotará o comportamento padrão de "Segmentação" (bid_only é implicitamente false) para essa dimensão.
Esse comportamento de API de baixo nível pode ser diferente da interface do Google Ads, que pode aplicar automaticamente "Observação" (bid_only é true) por padrão para algumas dimensões de segmentação (como AUDIENCE para campanhas de pesquisa) quando campanhas ou grupos de anúncios são criados. Por exemplo, as campanhas do Shopping criadas pela interface podem omitir as configurações de dimensão AUDIENCE por padrão da perspectiva da API, o que significa que elas herdam implicitamente o comportamento padrão da API de "Segmentação" (bid_only é false).
Se você estiver adicionando segmentos de público-alvo a uma campanha de pesquisa ou do Shopping, considere configurar explicitamente a configuração de segmentação de bid_only como true para defini-la como "Observação".
Se você estiver configurando uma campanha duplicada para segmentos de público-alvo para anúncios de pesquisa, mantenha a segmentação de bid_only definida como false.
Restrições
Não é possível adicionar ou atualizar
targeting_setting em um AdGroup
se targeting_setting estiver definido na
campanha mãe. Se o targeting_setting estiver definido na Campaign mãe, primeiro remova o targeting_setting na Campaign mãe. Da mesma forma, primeiro remova o targeting_setting no AdGroup para defini-lo na Campaign.
