שולחת הודעה מ-iframe של תוסף החלונית הצדדית ל-iframe של תוסף השלב הראשי. התוסף שפועל ב-iframe בשלב הראשי יכול להגיב להודעה הזו באמצעות קריאה חוזרת (callback) של התוסף frameToFrameMessage (ראו AddonCallbacks). האורך של המחרוזת הזו חייב להיות קצר מ-1,000,000 תווים.
