The unique identifier for an entity in the Google Ads API is called a resource
name, and is represented as a string with a predictable format. If you know the
constituent components of a resource name, you can use this utility to generate
the final resource name.
ResourceNames class
The ResourceNames utility is a way to construct the resource name of an entity
if you know all of the relevant IDs related to that entity. For example, a
campaign resource name is in the format
customers/{customer_id}/campaigns/{campaign_id}, so if you know the customer
ID and the campaign ID, you can use the ResourceNames utility to construct the
full resource name as follows:
[[["Easy to understand","easyToUnderstand","thumb-up"],["Solved my problem","solvedMyProblem","thumb-up"],["Other","otherUp","thumb-up"]],[["Missing the information I need","missingTheInformationINeed","thumb-down"],["Too complicated / too many steps","tooComplicatedTooManySteps","thumb-down"],["Out of date","outOfDate","thumb-down"],["Samples / code issue","samplesCodeIssue","thumb-down"],["Other","otherDown","thumb-down"]],["Last updated 2025-01-28 UTC."],[[["Google Ads API entities are uniquely identified by resource names, which are strings with predictable formats based on their components."],["The `ResourceNames` utility helps construct these resource names when you know the necessary IDs, such as customer and campaign IDs."],["You can use the `ResourceNames` utility with various entity names, providing the corresponding IDs needed for the specific resource name structure."]]],[]]
