Introducción

Las superposiciones son objetos del mapa que están relacionados con coordenadas de latitud y longitud, por lo que se mueven cuando arrastras el mapa o haces zoom. Para obtener información sobre los tipos de superposiciones predefinidas, consulta Cómo dibujar en el mapa.

La API de Maps JavaScript proporciona una clase OverlayView para crear tus propias superposiciones personalizadas. OverlayView es una clase base que proporciona varios métodos que debes implementar cuando creas superposiciones. También proporciona algunos métodos que permiten convertir las coordenadas de pantalla en ubicaciones en el mapa.

Cómo agregar una superposición personalizada

A continuación, se muestra un resumen de los pasos que debes seguir para crear una superposición personalizada:

  • Configura el prototype de tu objeto de superposición personalizada como una instancia nueva de google.maps.OverlayView(). Esto generará una subclase de la clase de la superposición.
  • Crea un constructor para tu superposición personalizada y configura los parámetros de inicialización.
  • Implementa un método onAdd() en tu prototipo y adjunta la superposición al mapa. Se llamará a OverlayView.onAdd() cuando el mapa esté listo para que se adjunte la superposición.
  • Implementa un método draw() en tu prototipo y controla la visualización del objeto. Se llamará a OverlayView.draw() cuando se muestre el objeto por primera vez.
  • También debes implementar un método onRemove() para quitar los elementos que agregaste en la superposición.

Cómo crear una subclase de la superposición

En el siguiente ejemplo, se usa OverlayView para crear una superposición de imágenes simple.

Cómo inicializar la superposición

Cuando se crea la primera instancia de la superposición y está lista para mostrarse, debemos adjuntarla al mapa a través del DOM del navegador. Para indicar que la superposición se agregó al mapa, la API invoca el método onAdd() de la superposición. Con el propósito de controlar este método, creamos un elemento <div> para contener nuestra imagen, agregamos un elemento <img>, lo adjuntamos a <div> y, luego, adjuntamos la superposición a uno de los paneles del mapa. Un panel es un nodo dentro del árbol del DOM.

Los paneles de tipo MapPanes especifican el orden de apilado de las diferentes capas del mapa. Los siguientes paneles se encuentran disponibles y se enumeran en el orden en que se apilan, desde abajo hacia arriba:

  • mapPane: es el panel inferior y se encuentra encima de los mosaicos. Es posible que no reciba eventos del DOM. (Panel 0).
  • overlayLayer: contiene polilíneas, polígonos, superposiciones de suelo y superposiciones de capas de mosaicos. Es posible que no reciba eventos del DOM. (Panel 1).

Cómo dibujar la superposición

Ten en cuenta que no se invocó ninguna visualización especial en el código anterior. La API invoca un método draw() separado en la superposición cuando necesita dibujarla en el mapa, incluida la primera vez que se agrega.

Por lo tanto, implementaremos el método draw(), recuperaremos el MapCanvasProjection de la superposición mediante getProjection() y calcularemos las coordenadas exactas en las que se fijarán los puntos superior derecho e inferior izquierdo del objeto. Luego, podremos cambiar el tamaño de <div>. A su vez, esto cambiará el tamaño de la imagen para adecuarlo a los límites especificados en el constructor de la superposición.

Cómo ocultar y mostrar una superposición personalizada

Si deseas ocultar o mostrar una superposición en lugar de simplemente crearla o quitarla, puedes implementar tus propios métodos hide() y show() para ajustar su visibilidad. También puedes desconectar la superposición del DOM del mapa, aunque esta operación es un poco más costosa. Ten en cuenta que, si vuelves a adjuntar la superposición al DOM del mapa, se volverá a invocar el método onAdd() de la superposición.

En el siguiente ejemplo, se agregan los métodos hide() y show() al prototipo de la superposición, que permiten activar o desactivar la visibilidad del contenedor <div>. Además, agregamos un método toggleDOM(), que adjunta la superposición al mapa o la desconecta de él.
