Mặt nạ xác định những trường trên chủ đề cần cập nhật. Đây là trường bắt buộc để cập nhật. Quá trình cập nhật sẽ không thành công nếu bạn chỉ định các trường không hợp lệ. Nếu một trường hỗ trợ giá trị trống, bạn có thể xoá trường đó bằng cách chỉ định trường đó trong mặt nạ cập nhật chứ không phải trong đối tượng Chủ đề. Nếu một trường không hỗ trợ giá trị trống nằm trong mặt nạ cập nhật và không được đặt trong đối tượng Chủ đề, thì lỗi INVALID_ARGUMENT sẽ được trả về.
