Gerencie seus sitemaps com um arquivo de índice de sitemaps
Se o sitemap for maior que os
limites de tamanho,
será necessário dividi-lo em vários sitemaps para que cada novo sitemap
fique abaixo do limite. Depois de dividir o sitemap, use um arquivo de índice para enviar vários sitemaps de uma só vez.
Práticas recomendadas para índices de sitemaps
O formato XML de um arquivo de índice de sitemaps é
muito parecido com o formato XML de um arquivo do sitemap, e é definido pelo
protocolo de sitemaps.
Isso significa que todos os requisitos de sitemap também se aplicam aos arquivos de índice de sitemaps.
Os sitemaps referenciados precisam estar hospedados no mesmo site que o arquivo de índice. Esse
requisito será desconsiderado se você configurar o
envio entre sites.
Os sitemaps
referenciados no arquivo de índice precisam estar no mesmo diretório que o arquivo de
índice de sitemap ou abaixo na hierarquia do site. Por exemplo, se o arquivo de índice
de sitemaps estiver em https://example.com/public/sitemap_index.xml, ele poderá conter
somente sitemaps que estejam no mesmo diretório ou mais profundo, como
https://example.com/public/shared/....
É possível enviar até 500 arquivos de índice de sitemaps para cada site na sua conta do Search Console.
