قناع يحدّد الحقول التي يجب تعديلها في الموضوع هذا الحقل مطلوب لإجراء تعديل. يتعذّر إجراء التعديل في حال تحديد حقول غير صالحة. إذا كان الحقل يتيح القيم الفارغة، يمكن محو محتواه من خلال تحديده في قناع التعديل وليس في عنصر Topic. إذا تم تضمين حقل لا يقبل القيم الفارغة في قناع التعديل ولم يتم ضبطه في عنصر Topic، يتم عرض خطأ INVALID_ARGUMENT.
