Manage serving finalized deals

You can use the following methods to begin serving, pause, and resume deals for your buyer account and any of your clients.

Manually serve deals

By default, finalized deals automatically become ready to serve after they're accepted by both parties.

Contact your Technical Account Manager if you would like to manually set your programmatic guaranteed deals as ready to serve instead. After your Technical Account Manager enables you, use the buyers.finalizedDeals.setReadyToServe method to manually signal that your finalized programmatic guaranteed deal is ready to serve. This call begins serving your finalized deal during the configured flight times.

We suggest that you use the Real-time Bidding API’s buyers.creatives resource to request a review for each creative you want to place for the deal. After creatives are approved, you can then add those creatives to deals.

After all the creatives you want to place are approved and added to the deal, call buyers.finalizedDeals.setReadyToServe to signal that you’re ready to respond to incoming bid requests for the deal.

This method has no effect on deals that are already serving.

The following sample demonstrates how you can manually begin serving deals with the setReadyToServe method.

Pause serving

You can use the buyers.finalizedDeals.pause method to pause a finalized deal. If you pause a deal, you stop receiving bid requests for that deal.

Buyers can't pause private auction deals or preferred deals.

The following sample demonstrates how you can pause a finalized deal with the pause method.

Resume serving

You can use the buyers.finalizedDeals.resume method to resume a paused finalized deal. After you resume a deal, you receive bid requests for that deal.

Buyers can't resume paused private auction deals or preferred deals.

The following sample demonstrates how you can resume a finalized deal with the resume method.
