מערכי נתונים הם מאגרים של נתונים שבהם אתם רוצים להשתמש באפליקציות שלכם בפלטפורמה של מפות Google, כחלק מעיצוב מבוסס-נתונים.
באמצעות Maps Datasets API אפשר ליצור ולנהל מערכי נתונים באמצעות API ל-REST.
לדוגמה, בעזרת סגנון מבוסס-נתונים למערכי נתונים, אפשר להעלות נתונים גיאו-מרחביים משלכם למערך נתונים, להחיל סגנון מותאם אישית על תכונות הנתונים ולהציג את תכונות הנתונים האלה במפות. אפשר ליצור תצוגות חזותיות של נתונים על סמך גיאומטריה של נקודות, קווים פוליגונים ופוליגונים, וגם לגרום לתכונות של נתונים להגיב לאירועי קליקים.
יצירת מערך נתונים היא תהליך בן שני שלבים:
שולחים בקשה ליצירת מערך הנתונים.
שולחים בקשה להעלאת נתונים למערך הנתונים מהמחשב או מ-Google Cloud Storage. נתוני ההעלאה חייבים להיות מיוצגים בקובץ CSV, GeoJSON או KML.
