Terms of Service

By using this API, you consent to be bound by these terms in addition to the Google APIs Terms of Service ("API ToS").
  1. Definitions

    1. Customer Token

      The token provided to Customer by Google for use with the Google Workspace Admin SDK.

    2. Google Workspace Admin SDK

      APIs subject to this Terms of Service may be found at list of APIs.

    3. Google Workspace Agreement

      The agreement between Customer and Google under which Customer receives the Services from Google. Capitalized terms used here but not defined here are defined in the Google Workspace Agreement.

    4. Services

      The Google services as defined in Customer's Google Workspace Agreement.

  2. Usage Obligations

    In addition to the usage obligations in Section 2 of the API ToS, you agree that:
    1. Use is subject to Customer's Google Workspace Agreement

      You may only use the Google Workspace Admin SDK if you are a Google Workspace Customer receiving Services from Google pursuant to a Google Workspace Agreement ("you" or "Customer"). Your use of the Google Workspace Admin SDK is subject to your compliance with the Google Workspace Agreement agreed to by Customer and these Google Workspace Admin SDK Terms.

    2. Confidential information

      Content obtained from Google using the Google Workspace Admin SDK, Customer Tokens, and the Google Workspace API documentation are subject to the confidentiality obligations contained in the Google Workspace Agreement.

    3. Breach or expiration

      If Customer's use of the Google Workspace Admin SDK violates these terms or the terms of the Google Workspace Agreement, Google may suspend Customer's access to the Google Workspace Admin SDK without notice, and may terminate Customer's access to the Google Workspace Admin SDK if Customer has not cured any such violation within thirty (30) days of the suspension. Upon expiration or termination of the Google Workspace Agreement, Customer must cease all use of the Google Workspace Admin SDK and, if requested by Google, certify this cessation of use in writing.

    4. License Manager API and Directory API

      Use of the License Manager API or Directory API may result in additional charges to Customer's billing account if the API is used to license or provision more users than the Customer has paid for prior to the use of the API. Billing for these additional charges will be at the rates and on the terms Customer has agreed to for the product licensed or provisioned.

  3. Provisions regarding your API Clients

    In addition to the provisions in Section 3 of the API ToS, you agree that:
    1. License

      Google grants Customer a personal, non-transferable and non-exclusive right and license to use the Google Workspace Admin SDK in connection with its use of the Services in accordance with the Google Workspace Agreement and the API documentation. This use includes using the Google Workspace Admin SDK to: (a) access Google servers; (b) develop a Google Workspace Admin SDK Client; (c) create or administer End User Accounts; and (d) receive content from Customer's End Users through the Google Workspace Admin SDK.

    2. APIs may change

      Because the Google Workspace Admin SDK may change over time, Customer's development of any intellectual property that uses the Google Workspace Admin SDK, or is based on, relates to, or relies upon, the Google Workspace Admin SDK, is at Customer's sole risk.

  4. Prohibitions

    In addition to the prohibitions in Section 4 of the API ToS, the following prohibitions apply:
    1. Email Audit API

      The Email Audit API is not designed and should not be used for general backup, archival, or journaling purposes. Google reserves the right to prevent a customer from using the Email Audit API in ways that might adversely impact the performance or usability of the Email Audit API. API Clients using the Email Audit API ("Email API Clients") must be created and used for only for Customer's internal purposes, and may not be provided to third parties. Customer may only create an Email Audit API Client using its own Customer Token.
