An IMA SDK version is supported for 12 months after its successor's release.
Afterwards, the older version is deprecated.
The differences between a supported and deprecated version are as
follows:
Supported
Deprecated
Bugs will be investigated.
Bug fixes will be deployed in the latest SDK.
Questions on the developer forum will be answered by the support team.
Ad serving is not guaranteed to work.
If there are app-crashing bugs in the version, we
will sunset ad serving for that version.
Questions on the developer forum will not be answered by the support team.
Developers are encouraged to include the latest IMA SDK each time they release
their app to avoid the deprecation dates. The latest SDK's deprecation date
doesn't get set until a newer SDK is released, so even apps with a 1-year
release cycle can always stay on a supported SDK.
