Google Public DNS는 임시 및 영구라는 두 가지 로그 세트를 저장합니다.
임시 로그는 사용 중인 머신의 전체 IP 주소를 저장합니다.
이렇게 해야 DDoS 공격과 같이 잠재적으로 유해한 요소를 파악하고 특정 사용자에게 특정 도메인이 표시되지 않는 문제를 해결할 수 있습니다.
임시 로그는 24~48시간 내에 삭제됩니다.
영구 로그에는 개인 식별 정보나 IP 정보가 보관되지 않습니다.
Google은 디버깅을 수행하고 악용 사례를 분석할 수 있도록 일부 위치 정보 (도시/대도시)를 보관합니다.
이 데이터를 2주 동안 보관한 후 영구 저장을 위해 소규모 하위 집합을 무작위로 샘플링합니다.
