This guide explains how to enable your physical Android device or emulator to
perform end-to-end testing for beta features of the Privacy Sandbox on Android.
Join the Google system services public beta
Follow these instructions to opt-in your Google Account to receive beta
updates of Google System services, including the newest Privacy Sandbox tools.
Once you've completed this step, the latest version of Google System services
will be installed on all of the devices using your associated Google Account.
Set up an Android Device or emulator
Once you've opted in to the Google System services public beta, check your
account information in Settings to confirm that the Android device or emulator
you'll be testing with is logged in with the same Google Account that you used
for becoming a tester.
Confirm that you have the latest version in Settings.
Click Security & Privacy > System & Updates > Google Play System Update. The
system will immediately perform an update if one is available, otherwise, the
Google System services public beta should install on your next system reboot.
(Optional) If you want to check your specific version, go to Settings and
search for Google Play System Update, your version may be dated for a future
release (i.e. Updating in November would likely show a December or January
release data, as this is when the beta image is slated for promotion).
