Android Auto
The Android Auto system works by connecting a phone to a compatible car, giving drivers a way to interact with their phone’s apps using the car screen and voice actions. It provides a simple way to navigate, listen to media and messages, and more.
For design guidance on creating apps that run on Android phones and work in Android Auto–compatible vehicles, see Create apps.
To learn about apps that run directly on vehicles with built-in Android systems, visit Automotive OS.
