Android Enterprise अब Google Play ईएमएम एपीआई का इस्तेमाल करके,
पसंद के मुताबिक डिवाइस नीति नियंत्रकों (डीपीसी) के लिए नए रजिस्ट्रेशन स्वीकार नहीं कर रहा है. सभी नए ईएमएम समाधानों को अब Android Management API का इस्तेमाल करना चाहिए. यह Google की ओर से दिए गए अपने DPC के साथ आता है.
Android Management API से Android की सभी डिवाइस और ऐप्लिकेशन मैनेजमेंट
की सुविधाएं मिलती हैं. इसका साथी DPC, Android Device Policy,
Google की ओर से मुहैया कराया जाता है और वही इसका रखरखाव करता है. Android Device Policy, एपीआई की मदद से सेट किए गए
डिवाइस पर नीति को लागू करने के तरीके को अपने-आप मैनेज करती है.
इस समाधान से, ईएमएम डेवलपर को अपना कस्टम DPC बनाने, अपडेट करने, और उसे बनाए रखने की ज़रूरत नहीं पड़ती. साथ ही, नई सुविधाएं उपलब्ध होने पर, उन्हें इंटिग्रेट करने के लिए, ज़रूरी डेवलपमेंट में भी काफ़ी कमी आती है.
