YouTube API Hizmetleri Hizmet Şartları'nda ("Şartlar") belirtildiği üzere (Bölüm 14'te), YouTube API hizmetlerinde eski sürümlerle uyumsuz olan değişiklikler yapmayı planlayan YouTube bu değişiklikleri duyuracak ve duyurudan sonra altı ay boyunca yazılım kodunu kullanımda tutmaya devam edecektir.

Konu API Hizmetlerinde eskiden uyumsuz olan değişiklikler yapılması durumunda YouTube, bu Şartlar'ın yürürlüğe girmesinden bir yıl sonra olan 10 Şubat 2018'e kadar kodları muhafaza etmek için makul çabayı gösterecektir.
