Tìm kiếm Sách của Google và WorldCat

Mọi người sử dụng WorldCat.org để tìm, đánh giá, liệt kê và đánh giá các tài liệu về thư viện trên web. API Tìm kiếm Sách của Google này cũng sẽ làm phong phú thêm trải nghiệm của khách truy cập vào WorldCat.org vì người tìm thông tin giờ đây có thể xem văn bản được số hoá đầy đủ trong WorldCat.org. Tích hợp với Tìm kiếm Sách của Google
OCLC đã bắt đầu tích hợp bằng cách sử dụng tính năng Liên kết động của Tìm kiếm Sách, cho phép người dùng điều hướng đến bản xem trước của Tìm kiếm Sách khi có. Sau khi sẵn sàng, OCLC sử dụng Embedded Player API để triển khai trang xem trước ngay trên WorldCat.org, bằng cách sử dụng mã phía máy khách. Trang xem trước này duy trì các chế độ điều hướng trên WorldCat, thông tin về sách và kiểu trang web.
Từ quan điểm kỹ thuật, quá trình tích hợp trình xem sách được nhúng diễn ra khá nhanh và chúng tôi thiết lập trang mới trong vòng vài giờ. Việc này liên quan đến việc đưa CSS đã tuỳ chỉnh vào tiêu đề, chuyển số ISBN/OCLC động và thêm cấu hình ngôn ngữ vào lệnh gọi JavaScript đến API.

This preview page maintains the WorldCat navigation, book information, and site style.\n\nFrom a technical point of view, integration of the embedded book viewer went fairly quickly and we set up the new page within a few hours.
