Google では、ライブテレビイベントエンティティを使用して、どのメディアアクションコンテンツがテレビチャンネルで放送されているか、またはインターネットでライブストリーミングされているかを識別できます。Google は、ライブテレビイベント情報を使用して、アプリやプラットフォームでリアルタイムに放送されるテレビ番組、映画、毎日のニュースなどのライブイベントを、ユーザーが容易に閲覧、発見、視聴できるようにします。Google TV では、この電子番組ガイドが [今すぐ視聴] タブなど、さまざまな場所に表示されます。

たとえば、現在 MyFavoriteMovie、MyFavoriteTVShow、MyFavoriteBasketballTeam の試合がテレビチャンネルで配信されていることがわかれば、次のクエリのコンテキストをより正確に認識し、ユーザーを該当のアプリやプラットフォームに導くことができます。

ライブテレビイベントのエンティティタイプ

BroadcastEvent エンティティは、テレビチャンネルまたはインターネットでの番組のタイムスロットを schema.org で表したものです。番組（Movie、TVSeries、TVEpisode、SportsEvent）の放送スケジュールや、開始時刻と終了時刻、コンテンツが放送されるチャンネルなどの詳細情報（該当する場合）をキャプチャします。たとえば、映画「X-Men」が放送される「24 Hour Free Movies」テレビチャンネルの木曜日の午後 6 時から午後 9 時までの時間枠を表すことができます。

下の図は、BroadcastEvent エンティティがフィード内の他のエンティティにどのようにリンクしているかを示しています。

コンテンツの種類とその放送メディアに応じて、コンテンツの詳細を提供しディープリンクを指定するために、BroadcastEvent でプロパティのセットを使い分ける必要があります。次の 3 つのシナリオについて検討します。

コンテンツの説明

BroadcastEvent エンティティは、イベントのタイミングとイベントが放送されるチャンネルをキャプチャするだけでなく、詳細なメタデータを含む最上位の TVSeries、TVEpisode、Movie、SportsEvent エンティティも参照します（workPerformed プロパティまたは broadcastOfEvent プロパティを使用）。Google は、これらの参照エンティティの詳細を使用して、ユーザーエクスペリエンスを向上させることがあります。たとえば、Google は、これらの参照エンティティで提供される image や contentRatings を利用して、Google TV の [ライブ] タブを充実させることがあります。

重要: ビデオオンデマンドとライブテレビの統合のための結合フィードを使用しているプロバイダの場合、以下は 必須要件 です。
特定の TVSeries、TVSeason、TVEpisode、Movie、SportsEvent エンティティがビデオオンデマンドカタログとライブテレビカタログの両方に含まれている場合、Google は、エンティティが放送されるたびに参照できる単一のエンティティがフィードに含まれていることを想定しています。放送されるのはビデオオンデマンドでもライブテレビでもかまいません。

エンティティがビデオオンデマンドカタログのみに属しているか、ライブテレビカタログにも含まれているかを伝えるには、ディープリンクの配置が重要です。TVSeries、TVSeason、TVEpisode、Movie、SportsEvent エンティティのディープリンクは、エンティティがビデオオンデマンドカタログに含まれており、ライブテレビカタログにも含まれている可能性があることを意味します。ライブテレビのみの TVSeries、TVSeason、TVEpisode、Movie、SportsEvent エンティティの場合、TVSeries、TVSeason、TVEpisode、Movie、SportsEvent エンティティ自体にディープリンクを指定しないでください。Google は、対応する BroadcastService エンティティ（テレビチャンネルを表す）からディープリンクを取得します。ディープリンクがあり、一部のテレビチャンネルでも放送されている TVSeries、TVSeason、TVEpisode、Movie、SportsEvent エンティティは、チャンネル EPG（BroadcastEvent エンティティで表される）を参照します。これは、ビデオオンデマンドカタログとライブテレビカタログの両方で利用できることを意味します。

workPerformed プロパティまたは broadcastOfEvent プロパティを使用して参照できる最上位のエンティティを作成するのに十分なメタデータがない場合は、workPerformed、broadcastOfEvent、offAir、contentToBeAnnounced のいずれのプロパティも指定せずに BroadcastEvent エンティティを作成できます。このような場合、BroadcastEvent エンティティは、利用可能な情報をできるだけ多くキャプチャする必要があります。たとえば、BroadcastEvent エンティティで参照できる Movie エンティティを作成するのに十分なメタデータがない場合でも、contentRating または image を BroadcastEvent エンティティに直接追加できます。

放送メディア

コンテンツは、テレビチャンネル（BroadcastService）で放送することも、インターネットでライブストリーミング（WatchAction）することもできます。
