WTM Ambassador & Mentor Akshama ✨

Akshama is a Senior Software Engineer passionate about leveraging technology to solve real-world challenges and inspire change in the tech industry.

As a WTM Ambassador, she has been passionately committed to nurturing emerging tech talent through mentorship. "My approach goes beyond traditional guidance - I strategically support two mentees, focusing on their holistic professional development in technology."

Both mentorship relationships embody her core belief that empowering women in tech isn't just about individual success, but about creating a supportive ecosystem where talent can flourish.

"The most rewarding aspect? Seeing my mentees recognize their own worth, not just as professionals, but as powerful, capable women in technology. Watching them transform from uncertain beginners to confident, ambitious tech professionals is a privilege I cherish deeply", Akshama shares.

Akshama's mentorship philosophy is rooted in her own journey: transforming challenges into opportunities and helping other women build confident, impactful tech careers.

"Every conversation, every shared insight is a step towards building a more inclusive, dynamic technological ecosystem where diverse talents aren't just welcomed, but celebrated and elevated!"

Sheree, a WTM Member and Mentee in the Women Techmakers Mentorship Program.

"One of the most powerful experiences for me was a recent call with my mentor. When I got flustered with being unable to communicate clearly, her response was a compassionate and simple question: 'What can I do to help you?' (paraphrasing). This small gesture was therapeutic in the sense that I felt seen..."

"As a WTM mentor, I share 'Learn in Public' & 'Build in Public' strategies to help my mentee succeed in tech and contribute to our mission of creating a world where all women can thrive in tech!"

Naz, a WTM Ambassador and Mentor in the Women Techmakers Mentorship Program.

"It's a wonderful thing to be able to help out young women in tech in a tangible way, and is something I wish was available to me during my early career. This mentorship journey has been a chance to give back while inspiring my own growth alongside the talented women I’ve had the honor to mentor.

"Talking with my mentor twice a month has been incredibly helpful! After working on my portfolio for what seems like years, I have finally finished two case studies and am actively applying for jobs. I have one more case study to finish, and I appreciate receiving feedback and having conversations with my mentor. She has shared some job postings with me, and thanks to her, I discovered the website "UX Remote Talent," which has been helpful in my job search."
