GoodReads es un sitio web gratuito para los amantes de los libros. También puedes publicar tus propios comentarios y catalogar lo que leíste, estás leyendo y planeas leer en el futuro. Integración con la Búsqueda de libros de Google
A través de sus asociaciones con editores y el proyecto de escaneo de bibliotecas, Google acumuló una colección de todo tipo de libros: Goodreads quiere que las conversaciones que tienen lugar en torno a los libros en su sitio se incluyan en el libro en sí.
Goodreads se destaca por ayudar a las personas a encontrar qué libros quieren leer, con recomendaciones de amigos u otros lectores con gustos similares. Sin embargo, a diferencia de una librería real, los miembros no pueden tomar un libro que creen que quieren leerlo y hojearlo. La incorporación de la vista previa de un libro utilizando las API de búsqueda de libros de Google ayudará a cambiar eso, y permitirá a los miembros navegar por los libros en línea directamente desde el sitio. Este será un servicio muy valioso para los miembros que tengan curiosidad sobre un libro y estén considerando leerlo.
La integración con la API del visor insertable de Google Book Search fue muy fácil. Tuvimos que agregar código JavaScript rápido debido a los excelentes ejemplos de Google, y unas horas después, ya estaba listo.
