Qui est-il ?
GoodReads est un site Web sans frais pour les amateurs de livres. Imaginez-le comme une grande bibliothèque que vous pouvez parcourir et voir les étagères de chacun, ses avis et ses notes. Vous pouvez également publier vos propres avis et répertorier ce que vous avez lu, ce que vous lisez et ce que vous prévoyez de lire à l'avenir. Et ce n'est pas tout : vous pouvez rejoindre un groupe de discussion, créer un club de lecture, contacter un auteur et même publier vos propres textes.

Intégration à Google Recherche de Livres
Grâce à ses partenariats avec les éditeurs et au projet de numérisation de bibliothèques, Google a rassemblé une collection de toutes sortes de livres. Goodreads souhaite intégrer les conversations autour des livres sur son site dans le livre lui-même.
Goodreads est un excellent moyen d'aider les utilisateurs à trouver les livres qu'ils veulent lire, grâce aux recommandations d'amis ou d'autres lecteurs ayant des goûts similaires. Cependant, contrairement à une vraie librairie, les membres ne peuvent pas récupérer un livre qu'ils pensent qu'ils veulent lire et feuilleter. L'intégration de l'aperçu d'un livre à l'aide des API Google Recherche de Livres va contribuer à changer la donne, en permettant aux membres de parcourir les livres en ligne directement sur le site. Il s'agit d'un service très précieux pour les membres curieux d'un livre et qui envisagent de le lire.
L'intégration à l'aide de l'API de visionneuse intégrable Google Recherche de Livres a été très simple. Il nous a suffi d'ajouter du code JavaScript rapide (ce qui est très facile grâce aux excellents exemples de Google), et il était prêt quelques heures plus tard !
